ABOUT THE FOUNDER
Daniel Gant's passion for aviation started at the age of 13 when he flew his first model airplane. Since then he's been hooked—designing, building, and flying model aircraft every chance he gets. He received his private pilot’s license while earning a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota Duluth. He then worked for several companies, including a leading aircraft manufacturer. After this came the opportunity to try making something of his own. This was the birth of the Ascend Dynamics SkyPak.
Our Journey to Flight
2020 - P1
THE CHANCE TO DO SOMETHING NEW
Development of the SkyPak started mid-2020 with a simple RC prototype P1 that did not successfully fly.
2020 - P2
A redesign with upgraded motors and flight control computer allowed the P2 prototype to take flight before the end of 2020.
